The quality of this vest is worth the money. It's made pretty well. For the most part, the size chart is correct and I ordered within the size of my dog, but it's a little bit longer on his back then I'd like, but it should do the job for the winter. I love the built in harness. It saves time from getting him to 2 things. We can't wait to use it this winter. And red is our favorite color.I love this product for several reasons, the dog has a a little protection on the bottom, it's easy to put on and off, and the leash can be quickly attached.I ordered the wrong size. Very nice , well made definitely will reorder a size larger.Would order second one after seeing all the features and being pleased with the results.Like everythingbought this for our mini schnauzer, fit perfectly.Someone designed this jacket carefully.Opening and closing along the spine--instead of the belly--spares you from having to touch every gutter germ a dog may have to splash through on your average morning walk.That's a real advantage for those of us especially whose dogs are low to the ground.My mini-Dachshund clears the ground by maybe an inch. She splashes everything along her belly. For jackets that open and close there, I end up with gunk all over my hands: yech. That is why I chose this jacket.However when you have a short, sausage-shaped dog your experience of the jacket's fit will not apply to all dogs universally. I hope my review is useful nonetheless.Given her quixotic shape, I guessed and bought a medium. Next time I'll try a small.She weighs 11 pounds, slim and athletic. (Trying to avoid the joint stressors related to weight that the breed is prone to.)The adjustable straps tightened the jacket cleverly, so that you can customize the fit for girth and shoulders. Straps are heavy duty, and I felt no qualms about attaching the leash to the sturdy rings. Zipper is likewise hefty and reassuring.The jacket extends to the root of her tail, along that famously extended back, so maximum coverage achieved.I couldn't get the jacket quite tight enough around her, but nearly. Without visiting a custom tailor, this is as good as it gets, I believe.We had a windy day out in 19 degrees, cold & bitter lashings. She was comfortable. It looks waterproof too.It was difficult to judge size. Even though I measured the one I ordered is still a bit big.This coat is super practical, very well designed and made. Stella is an 8lb chihuahua and the M size coat fits perfectly. Instead off putting on her harness, sweater and a coat, it's all that in one step. Nice warm belly coverage, easy to put on.Bought a size L first based on other reviews stating that the fit was small, but it was too big. Exchanged it for a M, which matches her measurements.This is a perfect coat for those cold winter days when your dog would much prefer to be indoors on the couch! It's very well made and I love that it has the harness attached. For reference, my dog is 35cm (14") long, 28 cm(11") neck and 44 cm (17") chest and weighs about 16 lbs. I ordered the Xtra Large and it fits her perfectly.Whoa! Way better quality than I was expecting. J'aurais souhaité l'avoir un peu plus serrer au niveau du cou, car il descend légèrement sur les épaules, mais plus petit il aurait été trop serré à la largeur des épaules et la longueur est parfaite. Le harnais est surprennant sur le manteau et j'adore vraiment cela ! On a meme un endroit pour un collier si on ne souhaite pas le harnais ! Pour ce prix je m'attendais à quelque chose de plus "cheap", mais il est super bien fait ! EDIT : Malheureusement, le harnais n'a pas tenu, je devrai le faire réparer par un cordonnier ... Déçue que les coutures ne soient pas fait plus solide..I bought a different jacket for my 13lb Cockapoo puppy before this one that was too thin, and didn't fit well. She didn't like walking while wearing it. I returned it and instead decided to give this product a shot.I ordered a Large size for my puppy, and it fits perfectly. I sorta "guessed" the size for her based off of the previous jacket I bought. Also something to consider is that this is advertised as a "Small Dog Vest", so if your dog is on the "smaller" size of dogs, however is larger than a miniature or teacup size dog, consider buying a Medium to Large size (or XL).Anyway, the jacket itself is stylish and comfortable. The inside material that will be touching your dogs fur/hair is very cozy and warm. It will definitely provide her with warmth during the winter. The harness that's attached to the jacket is also well made - I really do like the design of the whole product.Would definitely recommend!
